Christine Burns Ph.D Vice President Assay Research and Development, comes to Aushon after serving as General Manager of the SearchLight business and formerly Vice President, R&D and Operations for Pierce/Fisher Scientific’s Endogen product line, where she led that organization’s efforts in immunoassay development, and for building the contract sample processing business. Chris’ more than 25 years of biotech/industrial and clinical diagnostic experience has also included serving in several senior level roles at PerSeptive Biosystems/Applied Biosystems, including Vice President, Contract R&D Services; Vice President, WW Technical Support; and Vice President, R&D, Clinical Chemistry. Together with senior management positions at Advanced Magnetics, Inc. and the Clinical Assays Division of Baxter Healthcare Corp., Chris has gained key insights, critical technical expertise and a unique industry perspective, all of which she brings to Aushon. Chris completed her post-doctoral training as a Harvard Fellow at the Eye Research Institute after receiving her Ph.D. in immunology from The Pennsylvania State University.
